I am going to a work conference this July in Dublin, Ireland. I'll be staying at Trinity College which is touted as "The Harvard of Ireland." I'm excited, but it will be a pretty major trip to be taking by myself. Some of the time will be in conference meetings, and group tours, but there will also be quite a bit of down time by myself. I'll also have to figure out how to get around during those down times, and what to do.
And airfare is not cheap! I was hoping to try and fly first class, because I've never done that before and it's a ten hour flight. But it was over 4K, and I don't have that kind of money! Alas, it will be Economy for me. Hopefully I can sleep, since I'll be flying at night, and that may make the time go by faster.
There is a lot of teen suicide in Ireland, so I'm assuming that will take up some of the meetings. Americans learning about therapy in Ireland, and the Irish hearing about our ways of practicing. I'm hoping to learn a lot, as well as have fun and see new things!
